Easy Sugar Cookies Soft & Chewy
These sugar cookies are a favorite among family and friends. They have just the right balance of sweetness and a soft texture that melts in your mouth. Perfect for holiday gatherings, birthdays, or just because!
Ingredients:
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 3/4 cup colored sugar, for decoration
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and baking powder, and set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract.
- Gradually blend in the dry ingredients until just blended.
